Five cards on how you value yourself: what you believe, where it came from, what it costs you, and what is actually true.
A gentler relative of the Shadow Work spread, aimed at one specific thing rather than at the whole disowned self.
How to read it: the second position is doing the heavy lifting. A belief about your own worth almost always has an origin, and it is almost always older than the situation currently making you feel it. Naming the origin does not dissolve the belief, but it does separate it from the present, which is most of the work.
Read the fourth and fifth cards together. What it costs you and what is actually true are two halves of the same statement, and reading them apart tends to produce either self-criticism or empty affirmation rather than anything usable.
A real caution: if this spread surfaces genuine distress, that is worth taking to a therapist rather than to another spread. Tarot is a reflective tool and it is not treatment.
For reflection and entertainment. Not medical, legal, or financial advice.
